Farhan sets Full Member T20I series record with 238 runs

Published 14 October 2026

Pakistan batter and captain Sahibzada Farhan scored three consecutive half-centuries against Sri Lanka, finishing with a reported 238 runs in the three-match T20I series. His total set a record for a series of that length among players from Full Member nations, while Pakistan lost the final match by eight wickets and Sri Lanka took the series 2-1. Farhan made 89 in the opening match, 73 in the second and 76 in the third, played on October 13. His 238 runs surpassed the previous Full Member mark of 229, set by India’s Abhishek Sharma against Afghanistan in 2026. The record applies to Full Member nations; the overall mark for a three-match T20I series remains higher, at 283 runs by Spain’s Mohammad Ihsan against Croatia in 2025. The three successive fifties also made Farhan the first Pakistani and the eighth batter overall reported to have scored at least 50 in every match of a three-game bilateral T20I series. The list of previous players includes Virat Kohli, Colin Munro, David Warner, Nicholas Pooran, Shreyas Iyer, Reeza Hendricks and Ibrahim Zadran. Farhan’s achievement came in his first bilateral T20I series as Pakistan’s captain.
