Ella Langley Defends Canceling Tulsa Concert After Threat

Published 12 October 2026

Country singer Ella Langley defended her decision to cancel her October 9 concert at Tulsa’s BOK Center after a reported threat prompted additional police searches, though officers said they found no credible threat and did not advise her team to call off the show. The concert was canceled hours before it was due to begin. Langley and the venue cited a serious security threat and concerns for the safety of fans, staff and the artist. In her cancellation announcement, Langley said the decision was made under the advisement of local authorities, the venue and her security team. The Tulsa Police Department gave a different account of the advice. The department said officers told the performers’ staff that they had found no credible threat, but that the team decided to cancel. Police said a threat call led them to search the BOK Center and the surrounding area again. Their searches found no credible threat, according to the department. The difference over what advice was given remains unresolved in the accounts available. Langley’s announcement attributed the cancellation decision to guidance from local authorities, while police said they did not recommend canceling.
