Ella Langley Cancels Tulsa Concert After Threatening Call

Published 10 October 2026

Country singer Ella Langley canceled her Oct. 9 concert at Tulsa’s BOK Center after police received a call threatening people at the event, prompting officers to conduct a second security search. Police said they found no credible threat and had not advised the performers to cancel. Langley said the decision followed advice from local authorities, the venue and her security team, leaving a dispute over police involvement in the cancellation. The Tulsa Police Department said an initial preconcert sweep with bomb-detection dogs found no threat and the event was cleared to proceed. Officers returned after a caller warned that people could be seriously harmed by gunfire and bombs, according to police. A second search of the venue also found no credible threat, police said. Capt. Richard Meulenberg said officers told the performers’ group that the searches had not uncovered a credible threat, but did not tell them to call off the show. Langley, in a social-media statement, said the cancellation was made under the advisement of local authorities, the venue and her security team.
