Clarkson to Build Farm-Materials Car in 2027 Special
Prime Video has announced a one-off special in which Jeremy Clarkson will attempt to build a Jaguar F-Type-based car using materials sourced from his Diddly Squat Farm. The program, titled Jeremy Grows a Car: A Clarkson’s Farm Special, is planned for release in 2027, though no premiere date has been confirmed. The project will center on a Jaguar F-Type V6S. Clarkson plans to use farm-sourced leather for the interior and wool for the carpets, while attempting to grow flax and turn its fibers into a composite material for car panels. The flax composite is presented as a potential alternative to carbon fiber, but the announcement describes an experiment, not a completed build or proven material. Car designer Ian Callum will collaborate on the project. Callum designed the original F-Type and is expected to help with the redesign. The special’s stated aim is to combine Clarkson’s farming work with his earlier television focus on cars, while documenting whether crops and other farm materials can be used in the proposed build. The announcement describes the effort as an attempt to grow and build a car from farm produce.
