Enter Shikari releases first new track since April album

Published 8 October 2026

Enter Shikari released “Higher Ground” on October 7, its first new track since the band’s album “Lose Your Self” came out in April. The single arrives as the group prepares for scheduled October warm-up shows and a November arena tour, ahead of its announced plan to become dormant after 2027. Frontman Rou Reynolds said the song was written during sessions for “Lose Your Self” but was set aside because the band considered it a distinct track. He said the group completed it gradually over spring and summer 2026. Reynolds described its subject as the value of stepping back to gain perspective, whether in personal life or when considering wider problems. The release is the band’s first new music since “Lose Your Self,” which appeared in April. “Higher Ground” was issued without prior promotion, according to the band’s announcement. Reynolds’ account links the single’s creation to the album sessions while distinguishing it from the album itself. Enter Shikari has announced that it will become dormant or enter an indefinite hiatus after 2027. One account describes the plan as dormancy as a recording and performing entity from the end of that year.
