Burger King Begins Hello Kitty Meal Promotion

Burger King’s Hello Kitty and Friends King Jr. meal promotion began October 20 at participating U.S. restaurants, offering a mystery-box collectible with each meal for a limited time and while supplies last, according to the company’s announcement. The collection has six toys featuring Hello Kitty, My Melody, Kuromi, Cinnamoroll and Keroppi. Each character wears a Burger King crown, and some figures also hold miniature Burger King menu items. Customers do not know which toy is inside until opening the box. A golden-colored Hello Kitty is the rare possible figure, Burger King said. The King Jr. meal includes a choice of hamburger, cheeseburger, or four- or six-piece chicken nuggets, along with a drink and either fries or applesauce. Burger King’s announcement did not set a single nationwide price; the cost may vary by restaurant, location and meal choices.
