Bills Beat Rams in OT, Giving Josh Allen First OT Win
The Buffalo Bills defeated the Los Angeles Rams 37-34 in overtime on October 12, giving quarterback Josh Allen his first career overtime victory after seven straight losses in games that extended beyond regulation. Kicker Tyler Bass sealed the win with a 45-yard field goal, ending a dramatic finish at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. The victory also produced a personal moment that drew attention after the game. A video shared by Bills reporter Andy Young showed Allen scanning the stadium suites and asking staff where his wife, Hailee Steinfeld, was. The clip showed him trying to locate her after the final whistle; it offered no indication of an emergency. Steinfeld had watched the game from a suite. During a late fourth-quarter play, she was shown cheering as Allen scrambled 15 yards. The run helped Buffalo reach the Rams’ 5-yard line and set up a touchdown, but Los Angeles answered with a score of its own to tie the game at 34 and force overtime. Allen finished with 210 passing yards, a passing touchdown and an interception, along with 121 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown.
