Rams’ Alaric Jackson Expected to Receive Two-Game Suspension

Published 13 October 2026

Los Angeles Rams left tackle Alaric Jackson is expected to receive a two-game suspension after punching Buffalo Bills linebacker Bradley Chubb following Buffalo’s 37-34 overtime victory on October 12, according to reports published Tuesday. The NFL has not formally notified the Rams or the NFL Players Association, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, while a separate report said the league had decided on the penalty. Television footage from the postgame gathering showed Jackson approach Chubb and strike him. The incident occurred near midfield as players met after the game. Jackson had been exchanging jerseys with Bills defensive lineman Deone Walker shortly before the confrontation, and Chubb appeared to say something to him, according to descriptions of the footage. What prompted the exchange has not been established. Chubb said after the game that he did not retaliate and that his teammates held him back. He declined to name the player who swung, referring to cameras at the scene, and said he was ready for the next week. Reports said Rams tight end Colby Parkinson pulled Jackson away. The status of the reported discipline remains short of formal confirmation.
