Ashton Jeanty questionable for Raiders-Patriots game
Las Vegas Raiders running back Ashton Jeanty was listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots with ankle and foot injuries, leaving his availability unsettled ahead of the matchup. Jeanty practiced fully Wednesday, was limited Thursday and did not practice Friday. Raiders coach Klint Kubiak said Friday that Jeanty would do his best to play. The team planned to travel with him, but the reports did not establish whether he would take the field. The foot injury was added this week; Kubiak did not elaborate on its specifics. The Raiders also expect to be without wide receivers Jalen Nailor and Donte Thornton and backup offensive lineman Trey Zuhn. Kubiak said Nailor, who has a concussion, and Zuhn, who has a knee injury, would not play. Thornton has a hamstring injury and remains on injured reserve. Las Vegas opened a 21-day practice window for Thornton on Wednesday. During that period, the club can activate him to the 53-man roster, place him on season-ending injured reserve, or release or trade him. The reports did not identify a final decision on his roster status. Jeanty’s status is a concern for an offense that has struggled to run the ball.
