Apple Launches iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max
Apple officially unveiled its latest flagship smartphones, the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, on September 9, 2026. The new models feature significant upgrades in processing power, camera capabilities, and artificial intelligence integration, marking the first major iPhone launch under new CEO John Ternus. The devices are powered by Apple's new A20 Pro chip, which the company states offers enhanced performance and improved thermal management through a larger vapor chamber cooling system. The camera system on both Pro models has been updated with a 48-megapixel main sensor featuring a variable aperture, allowing for greater control over light intake and depth of field. Apple also introduced new "Pro Controls" for manual adjustments to settings like white balance and aperture, alongside features such as Smart Focus Tracking and improved editing tools like Clean Up and Extend. The smaller Dynamic Island has been refined to display up to three Live Activities simultaneously. Artificial intelligence is a central theme for the new iPhones, with the integration of Apple Intelligence and a redesigned Siri.
