Ubisoft proposes closing RedLynx, impacts 70 Singapore roles

Published 14 October 2026

Ubisoft has proposed closing its Finnish studio RedLynx, potentially affecting up to 52 positions, while 70 positions at Ubisoft Singapore have been impacted as the company adjusts production plans. The proposed RedLynx closure is subject to local change negotiations and has not been confirmed as completed. Ubisoft said it informed RedLynx employees of the proposal on October 14. The company did not publicly provide a specific reason for seeking to close the studio in its statement. The negotiations will determine whether the proposal proceeds and how many positions are ultimately affected; 52 is the maximum number cited by Ubisoft. The company said 70 positions at Ubisoft Singapore had been impacted to align the studio with upcoming production needs. It added that Singapore would remain part of its global production organization. The affected positions were described in reporting as roughly one-fifth of the studio’s headcount. RedLynx, based in Finland, is known for the Trials game series. Ubisoft acquired the studio in 2011.
