Rockstar sets GTA VI date as alleged leak claims remain unverified

Published 14 October 2026

Rockstar Games has scheduled Grand Theft Auto VI for November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, while claims by an online account that it could release a complete game build remain unverified. The account, known as CyberLeek, reportedly says it will publish the alleged build if a cryptocurrency token linked to it reaches a $30 million market capitalization. It has also reportedly demanded physical game discs and a public apology from Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar’s parent company. Neither company has announced that it will meet those demands. The account’s claimed build, including its completeness and reported size of 200GB, has not been independently verified. Rockstar has not announced the game’s final storage requirement. The alleged size of a development build, even if accurate, would not establish how much space the retail release will require. CyberLeek has also circulated gameplay footage reportedly lasting about 24 minutes. The material has been described as showing characters Jason and Lucia, cutscenes and other sequences.
