Trump Disclosure Lists 517 August Trades, Meta and SpaceX Deals

Published 8 October 2026

President Donald Trump’s August financial disclosure lists 517 securities transactions, including a purchase of up to $25 million in Meta shares and an investment of up to $5 million in SpaceX debt. The filing reports transaction values in ranges, so it does not establish exact totals or individual amounts beyond those ranges. The Office of Government Ethics disclosure covers purchases and sales made by Trump’s accounts during August. The Meta shares were purchased on August 21, while the SpaceX senior unsecured notes were bought on August 18. The notes carry a 5.35% interest rate and mature in July 2031. According to an analysis of the filing, August purchases totaled at least $44.2 million and sales at least $30.1 million. The disclosed ranges put the combined estimated value of purchases and sales between $74.3 million and $273.3 million. Federal disclosure rules permit officials to report transactions using broad dollar ranges rather than exact amounts. The filing also lists purchases valued between $1 million and $5 million each in AT&T, ConocoPhillips, Abbott Laboratories, Netflix and Chevron. Other reported purchases included Microsoft, McDonald’s and Comcast.
