Trivium sets November release for Crown in the Grave

Published 8 October 2026

Trivium has announced its eleventh album, Crown in the Grave, for release November 20 through Roadrunner Records, and shared the title track with an accompanying music video. The band’s announcement identifies the album’s 12-song tracklist and presents the single as an introduction to the record’s musical and visual themes. Bassist Paolo Gregoletto said the group aimed to balance the sound that has defined Trivium with approaches it had not used before. He described the album as an effort to draw on the band’s experience without simply repeating earlier work or changing direction for its own sake. Gregoletto said the title track was inspired by Akira Kurosawa’s film Throne of Blood and by Japanese horror and cinema. He said those influences helped shape a darker atmosphere across the music, lyrics, artwork and overall identity of the album. The accompanying video, described in the announcement as inspired by Japanese Noh theater and post-apocalyptic imagery, places its characters in a smoky dojo as they prepare for a confrontation. The tracklist includes “Jorōgumo,” “Dead Inside of Me,” “The Haunting Never Ends” and “Serpent in the Flame,” alongside the title song.
