Marvel Sets Three Marvel Zombies Specials for 2027 to 2029

Marvel has announced three animated Marvel Zombies specials for Disney+, with installments planned for 2027, 2028 and 2029. The titles are The Winter Soldier, The Fist of Khonshu and The Last Guardian, respectively, extending the story world of the Marvel Zombies series. Marvel Television and Marvel Animation announced the projects at New York Comic Con. Marvel described the releases as specials for the Halloween season, though reports do not consistently establish exact release dates. One account specifies Halloween 2027 for the first installment; the broader announcement gives 2027 as its release year. No exact dates have been confirmed for the later specials. The first special, The Winter Soldier, is set for 2027. Brad Winderbaum, Marvel Studios’ head of streaming, television and animation, said it will center on Bucky Barnes and explore what he has been doing since the previous adventure. The title also recalls the character’s unresolved fate in the zombie-themed What If...? episode, but Marvel has not confirmed further plot details. The Fist of Khonshu is scheduled for 2028, while The Last Guardian is planned for 2029.
