Star Wars: Galactic Racer Launches With Party Update Planned
Star Wars: Galactic Racer launched October 6 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Amazon Luna, with developer Fuse Games and publisher Secret Mode also outlining a planned expansion of multiplayer party sizes from three players to six. The racing game, made in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games, is set in the Galactic League, an underground circuit in the Outer Rim. Players follow Shade, a racer seeking revenge against champion Kestar Bool, through a campaign that lets them choose events and build and customize vehicles. The game also includes solo and player-versus-player modes. The platform list in the launch announcement includes Amazon Luna as well as PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The announcement says the PC version is available through Steam and the Epic Games Store. The game was offered in standard and deluxe editions, with physical and digital versions listed in the announcement. Multiplayer races support up to 12 players, according to game information, and the listed roster includes 13 characters. Most are unlocked by reaching specified multiplayer ranks; the roster includes Kestar Bool as a rank-40 unlock.
