Rob Antonson Quits Survivor 51 as Patt Cannaday Is Voted Out

Published 8 October 2026

Rob Antonson voluntarily left Survivor 51 during Episode 3, and Savu’s subsequent Tribal Council vote eliminated Patt Cannaday. Rob passed his hidden immunity idol to Carter Krull before exiting, while the episode’s recap reported that Patt was voted out 6-5. Host Jeff Probst said Rob chose to leave and was not removed from the game by medical staff. According to Probst’s account, a camp examination found no medical evidence of a foot problem. He cautioned that this did not establish Rob was free of pain. Rob had described an injury or infection in his foot, and the reason he decided to leave remains unclear. The episode showed Rob struggling with sleep and expressing a desire to quit. Some Savu players speculated that the previous vote and his position in the game may have contributed, but that explanation was not established. Before leaving, Rob gave his idol to Carter, an ally who was later sent on a journey to Toka as part of a twist offering a chance to change tribes. Carter ultimately joined Toka. The episode recap said he missed the boat while searching for its oars and was therefore unable to return to Savu.
