Rihanna’s Vault Remark Suggests a Large Music Archive

Published 8 October 2026

Rihanna compared her unreleased music collection to a Fenty Beauty product vault during a TikTok Live on October 7, saying she had “at least 17 vaults” if the Gloss Bomb Vault contained 10 products. The remark prompted an estimate of 170 songs, but Rihanna did not state an exact song count or confirm that the material was completed and ready for release. The singer made the comparison while discussing Fenty Beauty products and responding to a question about how much unreleased music she had. The 170 figure comes from multiplying 17 by 10, using the product count in her analogy. It is an interpretation of her playful remark, not a verified inventory of songs. Rihanna has not announced a release date for a new album. Her last studio album, ANTI, was released in January 2016. In 2025, she released “Friend of Mine” for the Smurfs Movie soundtrack, but the song was not a new studio album. A$AP Rocky said in an August interview that Rihanna was in the studio and working. That update was his account of her activity; it does not establish how many songs she has recorded or when any might be released.
