Published 3 October 2026

Pranavi Urs won the women’s individual golf gold at the 2026 Asian Games, finishing at 15-under 265 to take the title by one stroke. Her result also helped India win silver in the women’s team event alongside Aditi Ashok and Diksha Dagar. China won team gold with a score of 22-under 538, while India finished at 14-under 546. Urs, 23, completed the four-round individual competition with a final-round even-par 70. She recovered from a triple bogey on the third hole, which had erased a three-stroke overnight lead, and made three birdies in the round. The reported final standings placed China’s Yin Ruoning and Singapore’s Shannon Tan one stroke behind Urs at 14-under 266; the reports say Tan took bronze after a playoff. The team competition counted each country’s two best scores. Urs’s performance combined with final-round scores of 67 from Ashok and 77 from Dagar to secure India’s silver. Ashok finished tied for 14th individually at two-over 282, while Dagar was tied for 23rd at 12-over, according to the competition coverage. The result made Urs the first Indian woman to win Asian Games individual golf gold, according to the reports.
