India wins women's skeet bronze at Asian Games 2026

India's women's skeet team of Parinaaz Dhaliwal, Raiza Dhillon and Maheshwari Chauhan won bronze at the Asian Games 2026 on Wednesday, combining for a score of 331 at the Aichi Prefectural General Shooting Gallery in Nagoya. The result came after three days of qualification, with the final 25 shots of the round held Wednesday. Dhaliwal and Dhillon each scored 111 out of 125 in qualification, while Chauhan contributed 109. Both Dhaliwal and Dhillon advanced to the eight-woman final; Chauhan narrowly missed out. China took gold and Kazakhstan silver in the team event, though reports differ on China's winning score, with one account giving 357 as a Games record and another giving 346. The bronze added to India's shooting haul at the Games, which has been the country's most productive discipline. One account described it as India's sixth shooting medal of the Games, while another put India's overall tally at eight medals, comprising one gold, four silver and three bronze. A separate tally from September 21 had India in 10th place with six medals. In the women's 10m air pistol, double Olympic medallist Manu Bhaker was the only Indian to reach the eight-woman final.
