PM Shehbaz Sharif arrives in Bishkek for SCO summit

Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, on August 31, 2026, for a three-day official visit that will see him participate in the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit and assume the bloc's rotating chairmanship. The visit, which runs from August 31 to September 2, is at the invitation of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Nurgozhoevich Zhaparov and marks a significant moment for regional diplomacy. Upon his arrival, Prime Minister Sharif was received by Adylbek Kasymaliev, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan.
