Nvidia and Reflection AI Discuss Deeper Partnership

Published 11 October 2026

Nvidia is in early discussions about deepening its relationship with Reflection AI, potentially through a larger investment, computing support, an acquisition or a hiring-and-licensing arrangement, according to reports citing people familiar with the matter. No terms have been reached, and the discussions could end without an agreement. The possible structures differ substantially. Nvidia could increase its investment in the startup, provide additional chips or computing power, buy Reflection outright, or hire its employees and license its technology without taking control of the company. The last option, often called an acquihire, could avoid a lengthy regulatory review, according to one account of the discussions. A separate report citing a person familiar with the matter described discussions about a larger investment or computing support and said no terms had been reached. The acquisition and acquihire possibilities were reported in accounts drawing on people familiar with the discussions. The reports did not establish which, if any, option Nvidia and Reflection are pursuing. Nvidia has invested about $800 million in Reflection, according to people familiar with the matter.
