Musk gave $276 million to Republicans since July
Elon Musk contributed about $276 million to Republican political groups since July, including $158 million to the Senate Leadership Fund, according to figures confirmed by a spokesperson for his political operation. The reported donations make Musk the largest known individual donor in the 2026 midterm election cycle, which began January 1, 2025. Musk’s representatives also put his total giving during the election cycle at roughly $366 million. That broader figure covers a longer period than the $276 million reported since July. The contributions and allocations were confirmed by his political operation; the figures derive from shared campaign-finance information and are not separate independent audits. The Senate Leadership Fund, which supports Republican Senate candidates, received the largest reported share since July. America PAC, the political action committee founded by Musk, received more than $76 million. The group’s canvassing operation is active in seven Senate battlegrounds and nearly three dozen House races, according to reported figures.
