Crockett PAC List Omits Texas Senate Nominee Talarico
Rep. Jasmine Crockett’s leadership political action committee issued 24 endorsements for local, state and other races on Monday, September 28, leaving Democratic U.S. Senate nominee James Talarico off its list. Crockett has not explicitly endorsed Talarico or actively campaigned for him, and whether she will do so before the November election remains unclear. Crockett said her attention is on candidates in downballot contests. She has argued that concentrating the party’s money and energy on one high-profile Texas race can overshadow other candidates and that voters should have multiple races to support. Her PAC’s list includes candidates for county offices and state legislative seats, along with some federal and statewide candidates. On Tuesday, September 29, Crockett posted on X criticizing questions about whether she would endorse Talarico, saying attention would be better spent opposing his Republican opponent, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton. She has also pointed to Democrats’ unsuccessful effort to elect Beto O’Rourke to the Senate in 2018 as a reason to build support beyond a single race.
