Mia Goth Files for Divorce, Seeks Primary Custody

Published 7 October 2026

Mia Goth filed for divorce from Shia LaBeouf in Los Angeles on October 6, seeking primary legal and physical custody of their four-year-old daughter and asking the court to bar either party from receiving spousal support. The requests are part of a petition and have not been decided by a judge. The filing lists July 28, 2025, as the couple’s separation date, more than a year before Goth began divorce proceedings. The petition cites irreconcilable differences but, as reported, does not explain why Goth filed in October 2026 or what arrangements the couple made during the period after their listed separation. The documents establish the date Goth gave for their separation; they do not establish the circumstances behind it or the reason for the timing of the filing. Goth’s custody request covers both legal and physical custody. Her petition also asks the court to end its ability to award spousal support to either her or LaBeouf. Those requests should not be treated as court orders, an agreed parenting arrangement or evidence of a custody dispute. No custody ruling is established in the available information.
