Met Office forecasts 29C heatwave for southern England in late September

Weather maps indicate that from Thursday, September 24, temperatures will begin to climb significantly. On that day, the South West of England is expected to reach 27C, with London climbing to 26C. Further north, in Yorkshire, temperatures are forecast to reach 28C. The majority of the Midlands is expected to see temperatures around 25C. The warm spell is predicted to intensify on Friday, September 25. The West and East Midlands, the South East, London, and Anglia are all expected to reach 27C. A band across the south of the country, including Berkshire and Wiltshire, is forecast to hit 28C, with Somerset potentially reaching 29C. The heat is set to continue into the weekend.
