Judge orders Jaime Dugan’s arrest in custody dispute
A South Carolina family court judge ordered the arrest of former Survivor contestant Jaime Dugan after finding her in contempt over her 16-year-old son’s whereabouts and classifying him as missing and endangered, according to reports describing a September 21 court order. The order authorizes law enforcement across South Carolina to take Dugan into custody. The teenager, Harper Huffman, has not been independently located in the information available. The dispute followed a scheduled visit on August 30, when Dugan was due to return Harper to his father, Erik Huffman, under a custody arrangement established after the couple’s divorce. Reports say she did not return him. Huffman had custody, with Dugan entitled to visits every other weekend. At an emergency hearing on September 15, Dugan appeared remotely. The judge ordered her to disclose where she and Harper were, but the order says she refused. The judge then directed her to appear in person with Harper on September 18. Neither attended, and the court found Dugan’s absence willful, according to accounts of the order.
