Hull City and Everton set for Premier League meeting

Hull City were scheduled to host Everton in a Premier League match at the MKM Stadium on Sunday, October 11, with kickoff set for 2pm BST. The supplied match previews describe a fixture between two teams making encouraging starts, but do not confirm the result or lineups. Everton entered the match unbeaten after five league games, with two wins and three draws for nine points. Hull had eight points from its opening five, having won twice, drawn twice and lost once. The teams were seventh and eighth in the standings, respectively, separated by one point and one place. Hull’s first defeat came against Newcastle United before the international break. It had opened its league campaign with wins over Manchester United and Coventry City, then drawn with Aston Villa and Chelsea. The home side’s start gave it a strong platform on its return to the Premier League, while the Newcastle loss ended its unbeaten run. Everton’s results included draws against Bournemouth, Manchester United and Tottenham, followed by a win over Ipswich Town. The visitors had conceded three goals in five league matches, according to the previews, and were seeking to maintain their unbeaten start.
