Haiwaan Box Office Drops 16.7% on Day 2, Worldwide Gross at Rs 8.60 Crore

Published 13 September 2026

The Hindi crime thriller Haiwaan, starring Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan, has seen a significant drop in its box office collections on its second day, raising questions about its commercial viability. The film earned Rs 2.50 crore in India on Saturday, September 12, a 16.7% decline from its opening day collection of Rs 3 crore. This brings its two-day India net total to Rs 5.50 crore. According to trade reports, the worldwide gross collection for Haiwaan now stands at Rs 8.60 crore after two days. The film opened with a worldwide gross of Rs 4.60 crore on its first day, which included approximately Rs 1 crore from overseas markets. The second-day overseas collection was also reported at Rs 1 crore. The film's opening was described as modest for a major Bollywood release headlined by two established stars. Its first-day India net of Rs 3 crore was noted as being below the opening day collections of some of Akshay Kumar's previous films. The movie is facing stiff competition at the box office from established releases like Hanuman Ansh and Mirzapur The Movie, which continue to draw significant audiences.
