Celine Dion delivered an emotional comeback performance on Saturday night, marking her first full concert in six years at the Plénitude Arena in Paris. The sold-out show, attended by an estimated 30,000 fans, launched a 26-date residency and represented a major milestone in the Canadian singer's recovery from Stiff Person Syndrome. Dion, 58, was visibly moved as she took the stage in a strapless black dress. She told the audience she had promised herself not to cry but broke down in tears, saying, "I don't keep my promises. But I'm so happy to see you all. I missed you." The performance was her first full concert since she was forced to cancel the remainder of her Courage world tour in 2023 due to the rare neurological disorder. Stiff Person Syndrome, which Dion was diagnosed with in 2022, causes severe muscle stiffness and painful spasms. There is no cure, but treatment can help manage symptoms. The condition forced the singer into a years-long hiatus from performing, during which she underwent an intensive rehabilitation regimen. This included new medication, physical therapy, vocal therapy, immunotherapy, and a specific exercise regime of Pilates, ballet, and barre classes.
