A dramatic video captured the moment a Himalayan mountainside collapsed on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, triggering catastrophic flash floods that have killed over 600 people in Nepal and left more than 2,000 missing. The footage shows a section of a 7,227-meter peak near Gyirong Port on the Nepal-China border giving way, sending a torrent of ice, rock, and debris rushing toward the valley below at speeds estimated at 50 meters per second.
