Families of Indian pilgrims from Maharashtra remain in anguish as rescue efforts continue in flood-ravaged areas along the Nepal-Tibet border, with dozens of their loved ones still unaccounted for three days after the disaster. The crisis stems from devastating flash floods that swept through the Bhotekoshi River area in Nepal's Rasuwa district on August 26, severing roads and communication networks and leaving hundreds dead or missing across the region. Among the missing are Thane-based Aparna and Sameer Joshi, who were undertaking the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. Their family last heard from them on the morning of August 26.
