Playground Games has reaffirmed that Forza Horizon 6 will be released on PlayStation 5 later this year, addressing recent rumors suggesting a delay. The developer confirmed the 2026 release window in a blog post detailing the game's latest update, pushing back against speculation that the PS5 version had been postponed to 2027. The confirmation appeared at the end of a blog post focused on the "British Automotive" update, which introduced new vehicles like the 2025 Bentley Continental GT Speed and 2006 Vauxhall Astra VXR, along with a new Drift Attack challenge. The post stated, "If you're planning your trip to Discover Japan on PlayStation 5, stay tuned! Forza Horizon 6 will be releasing on PS5 later this year," directing players to the game's Wishlist page on the PlayStation Store. Rumors of a delay began circulating last month, with some reports indicating that the PS5 release might be pushed to 2027.
