Fortnite Adds Rare Pirate Shop Access Reward

Fortnite’s Treasure Hunters mini-season has added a rare Pirate Shop Access reward that gives players two 14-day periods to claim eligible Item Shop items for free, one in 2026 and one in 2027. Players can find it by opening chests in Battle Royale, but Epic Games has not disclosed the odds. The reward is a random drop in the Treasure Hunters chest pool. Reports describing the game mechanic say that when one player in a party finds the token, the other party members receive it as well. Other possible chest rewards include Gizmos, so opening chests does not guarantee Pirate Shop Access. Each activation starts its 14-day period when the player uses it, rather than when the token is found. During that time, players can claim eligible items sold for V-Bucks while those items are available in the Item Shop. The reward does not automatically grant every item that may appear over the course of the year; players must claim items during the active period.
