Former Baltimore Paramedic Sentenced to 25 Years

Published 14 October 2026

Christopher Carroll, a former Baltimore County paramedic, was sentenced to 25 years in prison Tuesday after pleading guilty to three counts of causing another person to ingest bodily fluids. Prosecutors had sought a 30-year sentence. The sentence followed Carroll’s guilty plea in August, according to court records and officials’ accounts. Prosecutors said Carroll contaminated workplace items at a fire station in Pikesville and the county’s Public Safety Building in Towson. They said he put bodily fluids in communal coffee creamer and food, and urinated in a station ice machine. He was also accused of contaminating a supervisor’s keyboard and an ambulance. Court-related reporting said 16 people used the ice maker during the five days before the contamination was discovered. The reports do not establish that all 16 consumed contaminated ice. Several coworkers reportedly used the creamer. The investigation began after allegations of misconduct at county facilities in 2025. Carroll was arrested in February. He pleaded guilty to three counts in August, resolving a case in which he had initially faced additional charges.
