Fontaines D.C. Release Rosalía Duet Ahead of Fifth Album

Published 13 October 2026

Fontaines D.C. released “Where Is Gone?,” a duet with Rosalía, on October 12, making it the first guest collaboration on an album by the Irish band. The track is the third song released from the group’s fifth album, Dopamine Chamber, which is scheduled to arrive October 16. The song features frontman Grian Chatten and Rosalía singing together over an orchestral arrangement. Guitarist Carlos O’Connell said the collaboration held particular meaning for him because he admired Rosalía’s engagement with Spanish musical traditions, which he likened to Fontaines D.C.’s connection to Irish music. O’Connell, who has roots in Spain and Ireland, said he had followed Rosalía’s work since her debut album. He described her approach to Spanish music as spiritually akin to what the band had sought to do with Irish music. His comments reflect his personal view of the collaboration and its cultural significance. Chatten also described the project as a career high, saying he felt humbled that Rosalía agreed to sing on the record. The collaboration brings the singer’s vocals to a Fontaines D.C. album for the first time.
