RAYE to Manually Screen 1.8 Million Concert Sign-Ups

Published 13 October 2026

RAYE said her team would manually screen registrations for a Royal Albert Hall concert after receiving 1.8 million sign-ups for 5,000 seats, including hundreds of thousands she described as fake entries made by scalpers using AI bots. The singer announced the change on October 13, saying the volume of registrations had overwhelmed the sign-up process. The figures and the claim about fake registrations came from RAYE’s statement; the reports provide no independent audit of the sign-ups or count of registrations verified as fraudulent. Rather than proceed with an open presale that she said scalpers could exploit, RAYE said her team would review the list and select people it believed were genuine fans. Those selected were scheduled to receive presale links and codes by email on October 13, with tickets due to go on sale at noon. Remaining tickets were expected to be offered in a general sale scheduled for October 15 at 10 a.m. The announcement concerns This Symphony May Contain Hope, a one-night performance scheduled for October 23 at London’s Royal Albert Hall. RAYE is set to reimagine her album This Music May Contain Hope alongside an orchestra.
