DP World to transport McIlroy’s training trailers

DP World has announced a multi-year partnership with Rory McIlroy that makes the golfer a global ambassador and provides two mobile fitness and recovery trailers to travel with him between tournaments. The company will manage their transport across his PGA Tour and DP World Tour schedules, according to details of the agreement announced Tuesday, October 13. The trailers are intended to give McIlroy and his team a consistent place to train and recover while he competes around the world. DP World said each will include strength and cardio equipment, an infrared sauna, a cold plunge and a Hyperice recovery station. The company is also McIlroy’s exclusive global partner for logistics and supply chain under the agreement. McIlroy said in a statement that having the same training and recovery environment from week to week would give his team one less thing to consider and let them focus on preparing and performing. DP World Group Chief Executive Yuvraj Narayan said the company would apply its logistics network to support the golfer. The arrangement links the company’s logistics services directly to McIlroy’s travel and preparation.
