BitGo and HashKey Expand Institutional Partnership
BitGo and HashKey Cloud have expanded their existing staking relationship into a broader institutional partnership covering staking, trading, custody and real-world asset tokenization, the companies said. The agreement was signed in Singapore on October 6 during TOKEN2049 week and builds on a staking arrangement announced in July. The companies said HashKey Cloud will serve as a validator partner on BitGo’s platform, initially supporting staking for Ethereum and Solana. Access will be limited to eligible institutional clients in jurisdictions where the services are permitted. The announcement did not provide a schedule for when the expanded services will become available or identify the first customers. The agreement also calls for the firms to cooperate on institutional trading flows. It does not specify trading venues, products or expected volumes. BitGo will make custody services available to HashKey Capital and associated funds, subject to onboarding and separate agreements. It will also serve as a custody partner for HashKey’s real-world asset tokenization initiatives. The companies have not disclosed fees, staking reward terms, expected assets or trading volumes.
