Dennis Haskins’ Death Certificate Lists Parkinson’s Disease
Dennis Haskins, the actor best known for playing Principal Richard Belding on Saved by the Bell, died from Parkinson’s disease, according to his death certificate. The document lists the disease as the immediate cause of death and gives September 27, 2026, as the date he died at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, California. He was 75. The certificate, obtained from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, also lists irritable bowel syndrome, depression, hypertension and benign prostatic hyperplasia as other significant conditions. It does not identify those conditions as causes of death. Haskins’s ex-wife, Sarah Quinones, told TMZ that he had Parkinson’s disease and kept the diagnosis private. A karaoke bar in Burbank where Haskins was a regular also said in an Instagram post that he had battled the disease privately for eight years. That account described his wishes as the reason the bar did not discuss his health publicly; the certificate itself does not address when he was diagnosed or what he chose to share. Haskins became widely known as Mr. Belding, the principal of Bayside High, on the television comedy Saved by the Bell.
