Drake Keeps Three 2026 Albums Out of Grammy Race

Published 6 October 2026

Drake did not submit any of his three 2026 albums or their songs for consideration at the 2027 Grammy Awards, according to a report on the awards entry list. The projects, Iceman, Habibti and Maid of Honour, are therefore ineligible for the ballot under the Recording Academy’s submission rules. The albums were released on May 15 and occupied the top three positions on the Billboard 200 upon their release, with Iceman at No. 1, Habibti at No. 2 and Maid of Honour at No. 3, according to reported chart results. The non-submission also covers the albums’ songs, including singles. On Iceman’s closing track, Make Them Know, Drake raps, “This album, I’m never submittin it.” The lyric signals his intention, but the reporting does not establish whether it is his full explanation for keeping the projects out of the awards race. No separate current statement from Drake or his representatives giving a reason was reported. The Recording Academy’s guide set a submission period from July 7 through August 21, 2026, for eligible recordings. Under the rules described in the guide, recordings must be entered to reach Grammy voters.
