CSD BR mirrors selected BTG Pactual fund records on XRPL
CSD BR has begun mirroring ownership records for selected BTG Pactual investment funds on the public XRP Ledger, adding a digital verification layer while keeping its existing database as the official record for registration, custody and settlement. The initial phase represents fund-share information as tokens on XRPL using its MultiPurpose Token standard. Approved institutional participants can check the ledger’s copy against CSD BR’s records. The project does not transfer the underlying assets to the blockchain or replace the systems that determine official ownership and handle settlement. CSD BR retains control over who may participate and hold or transfer the tokens. Participants must meet identity-verification and anti-money-laundering requirements, and the operator can freeze assets or reverse transactions when required by regulators or courts. Although the ledger is public and token movements can be viewed, participation in this fund workflow is restricted. The companies have not identified which BTG Pactual funds are included, how much they are worth or how many transactions the initial phase will cover.
