CBS launches NCIS: New York led by LL Cool J
CBS has launched NCIS: New York, a new spinoff led by LL Cool J as Special Agent Sam Hanna, with the series premiere scheduled for October 6, 2026, and new episodes set to air Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The show brings Hanna back to his hometown and pairs him with a new investigative team, including agent Nick Schaeffer, played by Scott Caan. The premiere’s story begins with the death of Jack Halloway, a Navy reservist and friend of Hanna’s. After returning to New York, Hanna seeks permission to investigate Halloway’s death. Assistant Special Agent in Charge Robyn Wells, played by Jennifer Beals, assigns him to work with Schaeffer. The team also includes agents Addison “Addy” Ross, played by Jacqueline Byers, and Wyatt Sellers, played by Shane Harper, alongside technology specialist Sean Sullivan, played by Devin Druid. The series’ official synopsis describes the team working together to gather information and identify those responsible for Halloway’s death. A second episode, titled “Family Business,” is listed for October 13.
