Burger King Overhauls Chicken Nuggets With New Recipe
Burger King is launching a completely revamped chicken nugget recipe on September 1, 2026, a nationwide overhaul driven by thousands of customer complaints and timed to directly challenge McDonald's on the same day. The Miami-based chain confirmed the change on August 25, describing its previous nuggets as "rubbery," "dry," and "disappointing" in the words of its own customers. The new version uses 100 percent white meat chicken, a crispier golden breading, and a reworked marinade for a juicier bite. The nuggets also move from a bag to a box designed to keep them hotter for longer. Suggested prices run from $1.99 for a four-piece to $7.49 for 20 pieces.
