British Airways unveils A380 cabin overhaul

Published 7 October 2026

British Airways has unveiled a cabin overhaul for its 12 Airbus A380s, adding or updating seats in every class and making the aircraft’s entire upper deck a 106-seat Club World business-class cabin. The airline expects the first refitted A380 to enter service in the coming months, though it has not given a specific date. The redesign centers on a new First suite, with seats that can be arranged as a shared space for passengers travelling together. British Airways says the suite will include a mattress, cotton duvet, newly designed pillow and an in-seat minibar. The airline also plans updated dining and amenity kits for First passengers. Club World will span the upper deck, with single-seat suites, additional storage and redesigned interiors. British Airways describes it as the world’s largest business-class cabin. Its other cabins are also being refreshed: World Traveller, the airline’s economy class, will have wider seats, larger entertainment screens and upgraded bedding, while World Traveller Plus will receive larger screens and updated amenity kits. The refit will reduce each aircraft’s reported capacity from 469 seats to 417.
