Mini Announces Rugged Countryman Untamed Edition

Published 7 October 2026

Mini has announced the Countryman Untamed Edition, a rugged-themed version of its SUV planned for U.S. sale as the petrol S ALL4 and electric SE ALL4. Mini says production is due to begin in November 2026, with deliveries expected in early 2027. The U.S. specification includes a 15-millimeter suspension lift and up to 19 millimeters of additional ground clearance, alongside 19-inch wheels and Pirelli all-terrain tires. The upgrades are not uniform across markets. In the United States and Canada, reports say the lift is planned for all Untamed versions; in Europe, it is described as exclusive to electric variants. Australian versions are expected in early 2027, but local specifications and timing have not been fully confirmed. The Australian models are reported to omit the lift and Pirelli tires. Reported Australian braked towing limits are 1,500 kilograms for the S and 1,200 kilograms for the SE, while some other-market petrol versions are rated to tow up to 2,000 kilograms. The higher figure should not be read as applying to every market or variant. For the U.S. market, the Countryman S ALL4 Untamed Edition is reported to cost $45,250, including destination.
