Published 12 October 2026

The Milwaukee Brewers beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 2-1 in Game 1 of the National League Championship Series on Sunday, Oct. 11, taking the early lead in the best-of-seven matchup. Brice Turang homered and Luis Lara delivered the go-ahead single in the fifth inning, according to game accounts. The Dodgers scored first when Andy Pages drove in Shohei Ohtani with a single, but Milwaukee tied the game in the fourth on Turang’s home run. In the fifth, Garrett Mitchell drew a leadoff walk and advanced on Cooper Pratt’s sacrifice bunt. Lara then singled to center, bringing home the run that put the Brewers ahead. Milwaukee’s bullpen protected the lead after starter Jacob Misiorowski left in the fifth. DL Hall induced a double play from Freddie Freeman, and Abner Uribe ended the sixth by striking out Pages with runners on the corners. Aaron Ashby pitched two innings, and Trevor Megill recorded the save. Los Angeles had chances to respond but did not score again. The Dodgers grounded into three double plays, stranded nine runners and went 1 for 6 with runners in scoring position, according to the game accounts. They managed two hits against Milwaukee’s four relievers.
