Brewers beat Dodgers, take 3-0 NLCS lead

Published 15 October 2026

The Los Angeles Dodgers lost 6-2 to the Milwaukee Brewers in Game 3 of the National League Championship Series on Wednesday, falling behind 3-0 and moving within one loss of elimination. Milwaukee can advance to the World Series with a win in Game 4, scheduled for Thursday at Dodger Stadium. The Dodgers briefly took a 2-1 lead in the sixth inning on Will Smith’s two-run double. They could not add to it: Kiké Hernández and Tommy Edman struck out with runners in scoring position, ending the inning. Milwaukee reclaimed the lead in the seventh when Jake Bauers hit a two-run home run off Blake Snell. Garrett Mitchell followed two pitches later with a solo homer, putting the Brewers ahead 4-2. Milwaukee added runs in the eighth and ninth innings to complete the victory. The Dodgers’ only reported offense after the sixth was a two-out single by Shohei Ohtani in the eighth. Los Angeles had five hits in Game 3, according to the game account. The defeat leaves the Dodgers needing to win four consecutive games to take the best-of-seven series.
