Bitcoin ETFs Rebound as Ether Outflows Extend

Published 6 October 2026

U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds swung from roughly $89.8 million in net outflows on October 5 to about $118.9 million in net inflows on October 6, while spot Ether funds recorded about $201.9 million in withdrawals that day, extending their outflow run to six sessions, according to figures attributed to SoSoValue. The two-day shift marked a sharp reversal in Bitcoin fund flows. The October 5 withdrawals ended a two-session inflow run, but the following session brought the category back into positive territory. The figures measure net fund movements, not the reasons investors bought or sold, and do not establish an effect on cryptocurrency prices. BlackRock’s IBIT drew about $122 million on October 6, more than the Bitcoin ETF category’s net inflow. That indicates other funds’ withdrawals offset part of IBIT’s total. A separate report on October 5 showed IBIT taking in about $69.9 million even as Bitcoin funds overall recorded net outflows. Results varied among individual products, underscoring that category-wide totals can mask different fund-level activity. Ether ETF withdrawals continued over the same period.
