Bezzecchi wins Indonesian GP as Martin retakes MotoGP lead
Marco Bezzecchi won the Indonesian Grand Prix at Mandalika on Sunday, leading an Aprilia sweep of the top four as teammate Jorge Martin moved two points ahead of Marc Marquez in the MotoGP championship standings. Bezzecchi passed Raul Fernandez on lap 19 of the 27-lap race and held the lead to the finish. Fernandez came second, 4.260 seconds behind, with Martin third and Ai Ogura fourth. The result gave Aprilia all four leading positions. Fernandez had led for the opening 18 laps, while Bezzecchi stayed close in second. After taking the lead, Bezzecchi pulled away. Martin, who started fifth, advanced to third on lap three by passing Marquez, then maintained his place on the podium. Marquez, the reigning champion, finished sixth. Pedro Acosta was fifth, ahead of Marquez, who had also been passed by Ogura in the closing stages. The result left Martin two points in front of Marquez in the standings after the Indonesian race.
